Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuji Itadori Awakens Power Mode, Surpassing Sukuna

At the end of Chapter 237, Sukuna begins the process of regeneration and starts reclaiming his old body once again. Sukuna's true form has finally emerged and defeated Kashimo.

Immediately, Yuji Itadori and Hiromi Higuruna officially enter the battle to confront Sukuna in Chapter 238. This is the battle that fans have long awaited, and here, for the first time, Yuji will use his own Cursed Technique.

From an ordinary boy to the Sukuna's vessel.

In the early stages of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji was just an ordinary boy until he met Megumi and consumed one of Sukuna's fingers. After becoming Sukuna's host, he enrolled in Tokyo Jujutsu High School and trained under the guidance of Gojo. However, Yuji Itadori initially lacked the ability to use any Cursed Techniques.

Instead, he possessed an excellent physical foundation that he could seamlessly combine with Cursed Techniques. Yuji could also control Sukuna's vessel without any adverse effects. This allowed him to engage and injure Mahito, who had the power to manipulate the soul shapes of others, as well as his own.

The greatest advantage of becoming Sukuna's vessel lies in the fact that Yuji Itadori will eventually possess Sukuna's own Cursed Technique. This has been mentioned by those around Yuji Itadori on several occasions. Gojo also affirmed that over time, Sukuna's Cursed Technique would seep into Itadori, and he would make it his own.

Yuji Itadori awakens

Yuji Itadori is certainly going to defeat Sukuna, but the key lies in how. Now, the answer is by using his own Cursed Technique.

After Kashimo was defeated, Yuji joined the battle. A detail that few people noticed is that Yuji's hand started to resemble Sukuna's hand. This implies that Sukuna's Cursed Technique has permeated Yuji's body, and he can use it or learn to control this power.

Yuji Itadori will evolve in the battle by observing Sukuna and gradually gaining control over the powers of Cleave and Divergent Fist.

The truth is, Yuji not only inherits Sukuna's Cursed Technique but can also resist the powers of the Cursed Wielding Techniques like Cleave and Divergent Fist because they have been a part of Yuji Itadori's body for a long time.
